is for Lattice.

I love Lattice!
Whenever this pattern appears, I am instantly smitten.

I have to do this to my backyard when I have a house one day!  I tore this out of an old J.Crew catalog years ago as inspiration.  I bought the skirt too!  Still love it!

Another great wall of outdoor lattice saved in my files!

This lattice wallpaper looks so perfect in this lovely little room.

Love this lime green lattice duvet!

How great is this dining room!  The shutters look great with the lattice!

I love these cards by Jack and Lulu that you can customize with your initials!  The designer, Julie Murphy, is super talented!  If you haven't seen her work, check out Jack and Lulu!  They make wrapping paper in this pattern too that I have been using for years!  Looks great with a black and white 2 inch grosgrain stripe or polka dot ribbon!

I love the yellow cards too!

A beautiful black and white lattice floor!

Here is my own attempt at lattice in my home.  I painted this red and white lattice in my entry way and feel so happy whenever I walk in the door!  Unfortunately, I live in apartment and can only paint the walls, not the door!

Love these navy lattice shades!

Gorgeous lattice linens by the lovely Leontine Linens!

is
for
 Jim and Pam.

I love Jim and Pam!  If you haven't been following the romance of Jim and Pam on The Office you are missing out!  I love these two!  The show is a favorite and endlessly funny!  Recently, Jim and Pam finally got married and every time I watch the wedding episode I cry!  So good, I can't stop watching it!  The writing on this show is brilliant!

Did you cry too?  Or just laugh hysterically?

is for Toggles.

I love a good winter coat with Toggles!  This has always been my favorite style of coat.  I am all about Ivy League style!  I am looking for a new one this year.  Chicago was super cold over the weekend-so I am dreaming of my next toggle coat!

This boys coat from Ralph Lauren is pretty perfect!

My nieces, Eloise and Bea, have these fleece toggle coats from Old Navy.  They are so cute - I wish they made them in adult sizes!

Yellow!

A cute coat from the Gap - but the toggles are a bit too subtle for me.

A page from the past.  I love a man in a coat with toggles!

Love this coat from J.Crew!

This one too!

Love the exaggerated toggles on this one!

is for Ping Pong.

I definently think I want a Ping Pong Table in my dream house!

Love the colorful paddles and the feeling that these paddles belong to a cabin by the lake!

Love the blue table with the dark walls.

Even better - a ping pong table surrounded by a library!

is for Sewing.

Lately I have been sewing a lot. I wish I was better at it. My mom can sew anything - from prom dresses to slipcovers! I guess that is why I was slow to pick it up - she could always do a better job! But I have persevered! I have always been impatient with following patterns - and cutting out patterns. As a result, I tend to just guess how pieces should fit together. I have been smocking everything lately. Elastic thread is the best! Rach bought this Orla Kiely tablecloth from Target and asked me to make her a smocked shirt and skirt.

Love the pears!

Here is the skirt. I added a chocolate brown trim to the top and bottom. Hi Scout!

The smocked shirt - with grosgrain straps!

Not as complicated as a prom dress, but I love it! Now I wish I bought one of these tablecloths too - I love the pattern!

is for Fall.

The weather is getting cooler around here and Fall is in the air! I love the Fall and the way it still feels like the beginning of a new year even though I am no longer in school. Fall fills me with optimism - only good things can happen!Fall makes me want to wear outfits like this and prepare beautiful, comfort food for friends like the images above!

And carry a bag like this!

Or a beautiful leather satchel like this one from J.Crew.

And wear a gorgeous plaid coat like this one!

Or a lovely red wool cape would make me happy!

And I would like to pack a picnic like this!

And put on a big chunky sweater, hop in a canoe and lounge on the lake with this guy!

And throw a gorgeous plaid throw on my bed like this one!
Hello Fall!

is for Dishes.

We love dishes!
I can't get enough of them and I'm loving all of these gorgeous cabinets and shelves full of dishes and glasses! I have dishes coming out of the woodwork at my house - in the kitchen and in armoires and cabinets in the dining and living room! It's kind of a problem because I keep finding more that I love! Rach keeps Kosher in her house, so she has a better reason to have so many dishes - dishes for meat, dishes for dairy, dishes for Passover...it's great! I think we have inherited the addiction from our mom - she has a great eye for dishes and vases!
Love this built in cabinet and the striped goblets!

Gorgeous blue dishes and hotel silver!

What a great pantry! The baskets and the ladder make me love it even more!

Red shelves!

Beautiful glasses and decanters!

Quite a collection!

Love this blue and white collection!

This blue opaline and milk glass collection looks amazing in a black cabinet.

This gray cabinet with dishes of every shape and size looks great with the ebony floors!

I would love to have built in shelves like this in my dining room. There is a fire place on the other side of the table-too good!

Martha Stewart's collection of white dishes-stunning all together like this.
