for
Handbags.

I love a good handbag!
Normally I always choose or knit a colorful bag - but this cute hobo from J.Crew has me under it's spell.

A classic brown leather bag that can go over your shoulder and look better with time.  I could put this into the rotation!  I never like to use the same handbag day after day.  Handbags are one of my favorite accessories!

This flight bag from Wm. J. Mills & Co. is the best!  I have one in red and now I have my eye on the yellow one!  You can fit everything in there!

I just discovered these adorable monogram bags from La Plates!  I love the monogram on the pocket!

Which leads me to these beauties!   I love these monogram bags from iomoiYou can customize them the same way you can customize their stationery and gorgeous paperweights! I love the green and blue stripes!

Or the two squirrels holding an acorn is pretty great!  There are so many choices it is hard to decide!  They would make a great gift!

is for Gingham.

Who doesn't love a little gingham!

Super cute gingham days of the week handkerchiefs from Jack Spade!  A wonderful gift for the boy in your life.  I can't help thinking I could make these myself - but I am happy to know they are out there and can be delivered to you in days!

Love these gingham melamine plates by La Plates!
You can choose your own pattern, color, and monogram!  Such a wonderful gift!  Just one would be cute hanging on the wall!

Another great gingham platter from Design Within Reach!

If you are feeling especially giving (like to yourself!) - how about this gorgeous gingham bed!

Or a red gingham sofa!
My sister, Al, gave me this note last year and whenever I see it on my inspiration board it makes me happy!  What a great sofa!

Wish Lists.

I love these beaded earrings from Charm and Chain!  Check out the rest of the gorgeous pieces made by Lavish Jewelry.  I love a good dramatic earring, but these seem delicate at the same time.

 is
for
the
 Holidays.

Let the holiday festivities begin!  I love December!  I love Winter, fresh snow, the smell of fresh evergreens, wrapping presents, hanging wreaths and garlands, visiting with friends, sledding, festive music, baking cookies, and the list goes on!  It all starts with the tree.

My dad got to carry my tree to the car because he is the only one who remembers to bring thick enough gloves to hold on to the tree without getting stabbed with needles!

Soon the tree will be trimmed and presents will be wrapped - but so far I have just gotten it into my house!

So the month of December will be full of gift guides, wish lists, and holiday cheer!

is
for
Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving!
I love Thanksgiving and always look forward to spending this day with my family.  When I was in college, I loved going home for Thanksgiving and relaxing with the family for a long weekend of leftover turkey sandwiches, walks with the dogs, and loved ones all around.  A wonderful escape from it all!  I still get that same feeling on Thanksgiving now.  At the end of the weekend we go to the Christmas tree farm and pick out a tree for the holidays.  Thanksgiving kicks off my favorite time of year!

Thanks to all of you who stop by Fric and Frac now and then!  Your comments and encouragement have been wonderful and inspiring!  Enjoy the pie!

 for
Blue Cake Stands.

I love cake stands!
The blue milk glass cake stands are my favorite!

The two tiered cake stands look adorable with these cupcakes with the cherries on top!

Or paired with a classic green milk glass cake stand!

I always hope I'll run across one in an antique shop, but I never see the blue ones.  There are plenty to be found on ebay, but buying things on ebay is never as fun as finding treasures in person!

is for Earflaps.

I love a good hat with Earflaps!
I love to knit and hats with earflaps and pom poms are my favorite to make!  These porcelain hats are super cute!  I wish they were bigger - like the size of a real hat!

There is a candle under that hat!

I think they would make great containers for salt and pepper on the table!
