Super Cute Dog Collars.

I love these dog collars and leashes by SEE SCOUT SLEEP - and it's not just because my dog is named Scout.  It doesn't hurt though!  There's nothing cuter than watching my Scout sleep - she's snoring next to me right now! 

 

While I'm on the subject of dogs - this picture makes me laugh because it reminds me of what it is like when I am surrounded by all of the dogs in our family!  When all four of them are together (3 pugs and a bassett hound!) and you are the only human in the room it becomes a competition for attention - much like this pack of bears!  It's pretty cute.

December.

I can't believe we are already well into December!  I love this time of year!  Sometimes I wish the holidays were at the end of January instead so we could all enjoy the festivities a little bit longer!  I'm looking forward to the snowy days ahead!

But we haven't had a good snow day yet.  In fact, the day after Thanksgiving we went for a walk in the dunes and the weather was so warm that the kids were playing on a sandbar!

Regardless, it's my favorite time of the year and I love seeing all of the cars driving around town with fresh cut trees on the roof!

Time to hang some wreaths and garlands - I love the smell of fresh greens around the house!

Grow some paperwhites!

And amarylis!

And wrap some presents of course!

Dreaming of a Cabin by the Lake.

Sometimes I would love to escape with friends to my own retreat by the water.  Growing up on Lake Michigan was very peaceful and I loved that we didn't have to have any curtains on the windows - we were surrounded by trees!  Here are a few images that make me dream of an escape by the lake.

Would love to open the door and run out to the lake in morning!
