A Few Things I'm Crushing On.

Downton Abbey
I can't get enough of this show and I love the opening credits with the Grantham family dog wagging his tail on his way home!  I can't get enough of this show!

I've always had a soft spot for the Beastie Boys (MCA is my fave!) and Kate Spade always gets it right with a bit of whimsy.  I love their ode to the Beastie Boys with this No Sleep Till Brooklyn sweater.  Rach had this on the other day with a pair of bright green pants - so cute!  Wearing it with jeans doesn't really make sense to me - it's needs a pop of color!

This Kelly Green Backpack caught my eye!

An equestrian bottle opener would be a great addition to any bar.

Super cozy Chevron Blanket

A perfect key to save all of your files!

After burning the bottom of my favorite Le Creuset pot I've got this caribbean blue beauty on my wish list!

A Few Things I'm Crushing On.

Loving this red bag from J.Crew - you can never have too many red handbags if you ask me!

This backpack would really come in handy when walking to the store with Scout!

How cute are these little elephants!

These plaid trousers make me happy.

Crushing on A Few Things.

Just a few things I'm loving lately.

Rach and I each got one of these awesome headsets for our phones while at the Museum of Contemporary Art the other day. They have about 20 of them hanging from the ceiling so you can just plug your phone in and try it out yourself.  After plugging our phones in and calling each other (like a couple of dorks) we were sold.  I love it!  It makes talking on your cell phone seem much more civilized and is very comfortable.

I love this Stanley & Sons tote with the gigantic pocket out front.  As much as I love color - I still appreciate the well worn patina that brown leather develops as it becomes part of your life.

I'm always crushing on beautiful kitchens and this one just seems so beautifully functional.  I love kitchen counters that are full of personality.  This one doesn't dissapoint!

Speaking of kitchen counters - how cute is this green coffee maker!  I'm not a fan of making coffee in a big drip coffee machine, but this gorgeous coffee pot might make me change my mind!  I think it would look great next to my red Dualit toaster!

I kind of love the cut of this caftan - a great piece for the fall.

Loving these looks from Margaret Howell - stripes, toggles, and a big full skirt - what's not to love!

I'm also loving this office hideaway - the caned chairs and the blue fiberglass chairs together are pretty charming!

Clamshell Locket.

I love jewelry with a secret hiding place and this clamshell looks like the perfect place to hide a love letter, a favorite fortune, or sand from your favorite beach!

Coffee.

I love a perfect cup of coffee - and sometimes go to bed thinking about how good the coffee will taste in the morning!

Really strong coffee or an Americano with cream - yum!

It's not so much about the caffeine but the romance of the ritual.

I am a firm believer in the cup and saucer.

But sometimes a big mug is better when I am rushing from room to room in the morning!  I can't seem to walk with coffee in my house without splashing some on the floor!

I love the patterns on these cute mugs from West Elm.

What's your coffee of choice?

An Ideal Little Cottage.

Whenever I see an ideal little cottage like this one I can't help imagining what it might look like inside and building an imaginary life around it in my head.
A perfect spot to spend the evening with friends around the fire!
Load up the car and drive up a tree-lined road...
A welcome entry!
A Dining Room with a fireplace would be nice!
A well stocked kitchen and a big outdoor table to enjoy long lunches!
A place for the dogs to lounge.
Every ideal cottage needs some built-ins for books!
A perfectly cozy bedroom.
A boathouse full of oars of course!
And someone to row the boat with you!

Calendars.

I always love picking out a new calendar at the beginning of the year to keep track of the days events.  I'm still old school and like to write things down and have a place to keep my ideas and inspirations.  These are my favorite right now.
This year I am smitten with this bright yellow patent leather planner - PATENT LEATHER! - but sadly it is not in the budget.

I love all of the colors together.  They remind me of a gorgeous stack of sweaters!

It's so hard to pick just one color!

Maybe the green...
Do you have a favorite calendar?
